University of Sussex International PhD Tax-Free Studentship University of Sussex International PhD Tax-Free Studentship 2017 Successful applicants will work on the project, “Control of Waste Heat Recovery System in Heavy Duty Truck Dr Bao Kha Nguyen” under the supervision of Dr Bao Kha Nguyen. Level Studentship is available for pursuing PhD programme. Scholarship can be taken: In the UK Study Subject This studentship focuses on modelling and control of waste heat recovery systems used to capture the heat from the exhaust and coolant of internal combustion engines in heavy duty trucks to produce some forms of usable mechanical or electrical work. Scholarship Award £14,553 tax-free stipend plus a fee waiver to the UK/EU amount Nationality UK/EU and international students are eligible to apply. Eligibility The scholarship includes a three-year stipend at a standard rate (currently £14,553 per annum) and, in addition, fees at the UK/EU rate. Since the scholarship only covers fees at the UK/EU rate, overseas applicants are kindly requested to state in their application how they propose to cover the difference between UK/EU and overseas fees.
